Co-Ownership & Guardian Homes

Premium Frenchies in Toronto, shared partnership, lifetime bond

Built Around the Dog's Best Life

We offer two distinct programs for people who want a premium Frenchie and are open to supporting our breeding goals. They share the same heart but work very differently.

What is Co-Ownership?

Co-ownership is a partnership. You purchase a premium dog at a reduced price, and we retain breeding rights for a set number of litters. You share in the results because you're invested in the program, not just hosting.

Full Purchase

Full Price
  • Full ownership from day one
  • No breeding obligations
  • Ongoing breeder support
  • Spay/neuter at your discretion

What is a Guardian Home?

A guardian home is different from co-ownership. You receive one of our breeding dogs at no cost. The dog lives with you full-time as your pet, but we retain full ownership until the dog retires from the program. Think of it as fostering with a permanent happy ending.

There's no financial investment on your end and no remuneration. The dog itself is the reward. You provide a loving home, we handle all the breeding side, and when the commitment is done, the dog is yours free and clear.

No Cost to You

You receive the dog at no charge. Your only cost is daily care: food, routine vet visits, and love. We cover everything related to breeding.

We Direct Breeding

We retain full ownership and make all breeding decisions. The dam returns to us for whelping and the first few weeks with puppies, then comes back home to you.

Yours After Retirement

After 2-3 litters, the dog is spayed/neutered and full ownership transfers to you permanently. No cost, no strings, just a dog you've loved from day one.

FAQ

Co-ownership is typically 1-3 litters. Guardian homes are typically 2-3 litters. The timeline depends on the dog's health and cycle, usually spanning 2-3 years. After the commitment, full ownership transfers to you.

Co-owners share in the breeding results. Depending on the agreement, this can mean a puppy pick from each litter or a cash share per litter. The exact terms are discussed upfront and put in writing before any commitment. Guardian homes don't receive remuneration, as the dog placement itself is the benefit.

In both programs, you cover routine care (annual checkups, food, daily needs). We cover everything related to breeding: ultrasounds, progesterone testing, whelping, c-sections, and any breeding-related veterinary costs.

The dam comes to our facility for the last week of pregnancy and stays through whelping and the first few weeks. This ensures proper medical oversight. After that, arrangements vary based on the situation.

We look for stable, loving homes, ideally with prior dog experience. You should live within a reasonable distance for check-ins, have a fenced yard or suitable living space, and be committed to the dog's well-being above all else. We do a home check and interview before approval.

We match guardians with dogs based on temperament, lifestyle, and program needs. We'll always make sure it's a good fit for both you and the dog. You'll meet the dog before any commitment.
